My advice, is, if you are able to get them from a working laptop, copy down the relevant devices from Device Manager, install W7, and do a search for those which W7 setup couldn't find. Sony has yet to support Windows 7 on the VAIO VGC-RB42G. I would strongly suggest not to try to install W7 on that machine. Sony is a _very_ proprietary equipment. There is a very good chance that you won't be able to obtain the neccessary drivers nor W7 having the correct drivers available.

Generic drivers don't usually work on Sony equipment and vice versa.
