I am formatted my c drive but still i am experiencing the same. Please help me to solove this problem.

I dont want to loose my data. My hard disk is seagate 250gb and is 2 years old. I used HDD Regenerator to find delays in my hard disk with 0 bad sectors. Please provide a solution fast. Thanking you.

A drive with 717 reallocated sectors can't be trusted. I recommend that you replace it. The flatlined benchmark suggests that the drive may be running in PIO mode. Windows XP will downgrade a drive's performance from DMA mode to PIO mode if it detects more than 6 CRC errors.

DMA Mode for ATA/ATAPI Devices in Windows XP: DMA reverts to PIO: id there any software through which i can repair my hard disk coz i cannot effoert to loose my data and when i tries to copy it hangs suddenly.so pls give a full proof solution. Do not format your drive -- formatting is data destructive. Your drive now appears to be running in DMA mode. However there appear to be many slow sectors. You need to clone your drive, sector by sector, and then use data recovery software on your clone, if necessary. Some freeware cloning tools are.

HDclone: dd_rescue: ddrescue: Comparison between ddrescue and dd_rescue: ddrescue can perform multipass cloning. It clones the easy sectors on the first pass, and attempts the more difficult ones on subsequent passes. The following is a GNU ddrescue example from Wikipedia: # first, grab most of the error-free areas in a hurry: ddrescue -n /dev/old_disk /dev/new_disk rescued.log # then try to recover as much of the dicey areas as possible: ddrescue -r 1 /dev/old_disk /dev/new_disk rescued.log. I am not getting proper responses. Until you don't make PROPER questions and tell things as things are, you won't get proper answers. Crystal balls don't help, unfortunately. I have 4 partitions.

C d e f c has windows and i only format c drive not others coz other has data. I only tried to copy files from c drive not from others and yesterday when i tried to copy from other drives i could not copy from them also. Crc errors were found in the files and error messages came that the file is corrupted now.also i checked that i have 3 years warranty left on my hard drive.

But i need to backup my data but the data is corrupted. Will it be still corrupted after using recovery software or it will come to its original state as it was earlier. Hdd regenerator only shows delays with 0 bad sectors.

Hd tune pro shows reallocated sector count as current -80 worst -80 threshold- 36 data -814 status - warning but i read somewhere that new hard drives coming do not show bad sectors in chkdsk utility. This time i am crystal clear and will be always from next time. Sorry for inconvenience caused. Ham Radio Tower Installers.

HDD regenerator is a commercial tool but a demo version is available which can analyse the surface damage and can fix one bad sector for free.It will be good to fix single bad sector at one pass scanning and you can use multiple pass to fix more than one bad sector.I tried to make it work in Gena and Win7PE but both shows an initialization error. I already did a DW scan but the app freezes in PE so i can't save the Dependency Walker image. I consider to buy the app if it works under PE but so far i am unsuccessful.Any ideas? I agree to you both but in my line of work i daily see at least one HDD with 1 or 2 bad sectors which is under annual maintenance contract. If we are going to replace all that HDDs our firm will be bankrupt in a month Usually i use Victoria's remap function which is very reliable and sometimes HDAT2.The drives i fixed using Victoria a year and half ago is still working and it is my favorite tool.Bad sectors up to 5 are 'fixable' (remap) in my experience. If a drive suffers more than 5 bad sectors then it should be replaced. I agree with that. If it's the company you work for and you have a ton of HD then yes you would go bankrupt but from a customers stand point, it's better to replace the drive. So many time we have 'fixed' bad sectors and we charge 49.95 is our basic fee and a week later HD out again and the customer doesn't understand they will have to pay again because they just paid 49.95 so since we started replacing HD with bad sectors, customers happiness has increased 100% over all.
