Or am i expecting to much. It says it has valve and proximity settings you could use it to quickly match a mic with a mic pre. Record every pre you got and then select mic's and match. Wow that combo sounds great, ill call the shop and order that mic tomorrow. Maybe it's not that good why would i need to buy the mic i've just matched. Or make a bad choice mic vocal recording sound good but i wonder how much a good effect it would have on re micing sampled drums and instruments. More of a creative tool.

Some things are not possible and its a good thing.It's funny how so many products are reliant on the way they're marketed. A lot of people have a problem with the way it's presented as a modeler to make all mics into 10k mics but I'd bet if it was marketed differently the same naysayers would give it more of a fighting chance. I agree if you think of it as a plugin to turn one mic into another, you'll be disappointed.

However, like World Studios said, if you simply view it as another eq/tool then the concept becomes much more usable and, dare I say, fun. (I hope people can still have fun while they mix).
